What is all this I keep hearing about website reseller programs? What exactly is a website reseller program and what does a website reseller do? Yes, I know they resell websites. Thank you, Captain Obvious. I just did not understand how it worked. So I started asking around. And this is what I found.
If I understand correctly, and I think I do, companies who resell websites are paying professional web developers to help them create a professional, well done, high traffic websites. They pay for the websites which then become entirely theirs. Later, they resell websites to a third party business and sometimes the two companies actually maintain shared ownership of said websites. How am I doing so far? Do you understand the picture I am painting for you? And this can work for all types of companies, all types of websites, in all languages, all over the world.
What I have learned it that it really makes sense to resell websites. Why not share the love? Time, effort and money are put into websites, so why not resell them? People resell their cars, people resell their houses, and we even resell our college textbooks. So why not resell websites? Why would that be any different? When a company sets out to resell websites, they are selling more than just the websites themselves. They are selling time and energy back to business owners to put back into their own business without taking time away from their customers to work on websites. Companies who resell websites are getting some of the money back they spent creating it, and the purchaser is getting time back for themselves and their customers. And this way they get to leave website development to the professionals. It seems like a situation where everyone wins.
So what is the problem?
